Skills Maintenance - Beach Based Activities (Bronze/SRC)

2025/26 Beach based activities for Bronze & SRC skills maintenance

Time & Location

14 Sept 2025, 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Swanbourne, 282 Marine Parade, Swanbourne WA 6010, Australia

About the event

With the introduction of Lifesaving CPR (L CPR) – this session will be run as a standalone session to the beach-based activities. Skills maintenance will take a bit longer than previous years, these are BIG changes that the National L CPR team have developed.

To complete skills maintenance for SRC, Bronze and ART this year (First Aid award holders encouraged to attend L CPR aspects), members will be required to:

  • Lifesaving CPR eLearning – approx. 30 minutes (+ an extra 5-10 min for ART holders)

  • Lifesaving CPR face-to-face session – allow 2 hours

  • Beach-based activities – allow 45 minutes

The eLearning for Lifesaving CPR MUST be completed before the Lifesaving CPR face-to-face session – it provides critical background information as the face-to-face is mostly hands-on practice. The eLearning only comprises a short introductory video, Lifesaving CPR and a brief ART update.

For the beach-based activities we recommend you BYO fins for the new Run-Swim-Rescue (replacing Run-Swim-Run to better simulate what we would have to do in a real-life rescue – 100m run, 100m swim times, then safely perform a 100m rescue with a tube).

    TIMETABLE
