Youth Activities (Every Sunday, 9:00 to 10:00 am)

Hey Team,

Come join us for this week's Sunday youth session - Boards

It doesn't matter if you've never paddled a board, are not confident or just wanting to improve your technique for the upcoming carnival, this week we will be spending the whole session on the boards and paddling. I'm biased but it's the best discipline of surf sport and a whole lot of fun once you get the hang if it. We will be doing more with boards as the Season goes on and we will do another session once the SRCs rejoin us.

Who: Myself and I have some talented and experience paddlers coming to assist me TBC.

When: The usual spot please arrive as close to 8:45 so we can get boards out.

Where: Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC Lower Courtyard gear shed.

Don't stress about dealing with the shorebreak, we will cover that in another session along with the other boards skills, (unless conditions are ideal for learning).

What to bring:

bathers

towel

yellow vest

If you wish:

goggles

wet suit or thermal rashie

You are welcome to bring or use your own board, or we will allocate suitable boards out also.

Held weekly during the summer, each Sunday session focuses on a different surf sport skill such as swimming, boards, beach sprints and more.

Led by a different experienced Club Member each week, these sessions are a great way to learn from the best, meet new faces and discover what else Swanny has to offer. Whether you're new or experienced, there's always something to learn and enjoy.

Youth Members are encouraged to participate (or provide water safety) in Points Races, following the Youth Activities sessions
