Cottesloe Main Sewer Renewal - Work staring 3 August 2025
The Water Corporation's authorised contractor, Interflow, is upgrading the sewer main along Marine Parade. This work is part of a larger renewal work on the Cottesloe Main Sewer with the City of Nedlands and will help ensure the continued safety and reliability or wastewater services for decades to come.
When is this happening?
Construction is expected to begin Sunday 3 August 2025. This work will be spread across 5 separate days within a 5 week period. Work will take place between 9 pm and 6 am.
What to expect:
As with any construction activities, there will be an increase in noise, dust, light, and truck activity in the area. There will also be temporary impacts to roads, verges and pedestrian paths. Traffic management will be in place for the safety of the work crew and community. We will aim to reduce these impacts where possible.
Although most work will occur during the week, some additional out of hours work may be required to ensure work is completed within the required timeframe. We will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Will this impact my water supply?
This is a wastewater project and will therefore not impact your water service. Should you have any issues with your water supply, please contact our Faults Team on 13 13 75.
What can I do?
Please close all toilet lids if possible, during the work period, this can help to prevent unnecessary odours and spillages.
If you experience any unwanted odour in your bathroom, please flush your toilet and pour some tap water down floor drain.
Please minimise the use of toilets or water going down the drain during this work.
