Congratulations to Stirling Stilwell who is the winner* of the Duncan McPhail Trophy for Season 2025/26, in a dramatic finish, just pipping Lisa Engelbrecht on the line! (Pleasing for the crowd and vindication for the Handicapper!). Champ Phetiam, the back marker, was third , only 9 seconds behind Stirling. Champ was the Fastest, ahead of Stirling and Kristie Orchard. Robbie is the second youngest winner of the Duncan McPhail Trophy, displacing last seasons' winner, Robbie Brigg from the three youngest winners. Last season, Stirling was second in the Duncan McPhail Trophy and since then, has won the Caris Cup Club Marathon 2024/25 and the Presidents' Cup 2025/26 - thus being only the third person (joining Reg Beaton and Ed Jaggard) to win any Swim Cup and the Duncan McPhail Trophy in the same season. In a first for the Duncan McPhail Trophy, we measured the 150 m northern turning cone using a measuring tape!
Eleven runners contested the Duncan McPhail Trophy this season. Thanks to Claire Tucak for timekeeping and recording.

*Obligatory Stewards inquiry pending in the back offices, including attendance at Blue Party!
