2017/18 SLSWA Surf League The SLSWA is a new team-based competition for Open competitors in a similar style to the existing interstate and World team competitions. There are three events throughout the season and each will involve:

1. Lifesaver Relay involving a surf boat crew, a sprinter, a swimmer, a board paddler and a ski paddler with at least four males and four females in the team

2. Surf Boats, Sprints, Flags, Ski, Board, Swim & Ironman races for both genders

3. Male and Female Taplin Relay (3-person male and female teams with swim, board and ski) Swanny is planning to get a team together, contact competition@swannysurfclub.org.au for more information or if you are interested in competing!

2017/18 SunSmart Senior Carnival Series for Youth (U14-U15) and Seniors (U17 and above) This series of competition is designed to provide members the opportunity to maintain their skills and fitness and engage in healthy competition and team activity.

2017/18 SunSmart Nipper Carnival Series Nippers is about children participating in safe, fun and organised activities in a beach environment. For our Under 10 to Under 13 Nipper members (9-12 year old members), SLSWA provides Nipper Surf Sports Carnivals and Championships. For the 2017/18 season SLSWA have also introduced Little Nippers Surf Sports Carnival for the Under 8 and Under 9 Nipper members, as a fun way to introduce sport to these younger age groups. The Little Nippers Carnivals will be held at safer locations and club volunteers will work together to help deliver an introductory surf sports experience for these Little Nippers.
