Lifeguard Employment Opportunities for the 2026/27 Season!

Surf Life Saving WA is currently recruiting Lifeguards for the 2026/27 season, with positions available from November 2026 through April 2027.

We employ over 100 Lifeguards across more than 20 beaches in the Metro, South West and Great Southern regions.

If you’re looking for a flexible, rewarding job with regular seasonal or casual shifts available across 7 days, then we’d love to hear from you.

We're particularly after people with full-time availability over summer. Seasonal roles come with set days and hours across the season.

What’s involved with being a Lifeguard?

• Delivering beach patrols at many of WA's iconic beaches

• Completing roving patrols using four-wheel drives and side-by-side vehicles (SSVs)

• Performing special assignments including dedicated water safety for events or activities

• Conducting jet ski patrols in high-risk areas

Qualifications Required

• Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion

• Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)

• Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (HLTAID015)

• Valid Driver’s Licence (provisional or higher)

Additional Requirements

• National Police Clearance dated within 6 months or be able to attain one

• Working with Children check or be able to attain one

All qualifications must be in-date for the duration of the season.
