Roll of Honour

Club membership suffered dramatically with the outbreak of World War II. Junior and Sub Junior members took over the running of the Club during these years when the Senior Members were called to the Forces. In all sixty six members of the Club saw service during the war, and of these George Gadsby, James Lynam, Charles McCosker, John Oxton, George Ward, Harold Rash and David Williams lost their lives. Subsequently eight members of the Club saw service in Vietnam. John Allen, (Foundation Member, President, Life Member) and Herbert Albert Sharp, (Foundation President) both served in the Australian Imperial Force in the First World War. John Allen saw service at Gallipoli. The attached Roll of Honour lists those who served along with details where possible. Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC Roll of Honour Rev 1d
