Swanny Iron Series Round 5 will be held on Saturday 14 March 2026 at Swanbourne Beach starting at 8.20 am. A presentation may follow the events.
The program of events is (all times approximate):
8.21 am Long Run #
8.41 am Surf Race (400m Swim) #
9.01 am Board Race #
9.31 am Ski Race #
11.16 am Draw for the order of the Iron legs (Iron start time will be no earlier than 11.16 am)
11.34 am (or earlier if we’re ready) Iron #
# Events that form part of the Swanny Iron Series
Course Map - Run Swim Run (Start to Cone to Blue/White to Green/White to Cone to Finish) and Long Run (Start to Vera View Stair to Finish)
Course Map - Surf Race (Start to Blue/White to Red/Yellow to Green/Yellow to Green/White to Finish) Board Race (Start to Red to Orange to Yellow to Finish) and Ski Race (Start to Orange (large) to Orange (permanent buoy) to Orange (large) to Finish)
Course Map - Iron (Swim - White/Black to Black; Board - Red/Yellow to Green/Yellow; Ski - Red to Orange to Yellow)

Craft should be placed toward the southern end of the beach in line with the middle of the southern and central inner permanent buoys.
Swanny Iron Series events shall be conducted in the following categories:
• Open Male
• Open Female
Detailed Program and Point Scoring:
Competitors must be qualified to start by being financial and have completed proficiency and patrol requirements of the Club relevant to their membership category. You must have made up any missed patrol hours.
Club Championship events shall be conducted in accordance with the current SLSA Australian Surf Sports Manual wherever possible. Any departure(s) from the current SLSA Australian Surf Sports Manual shall be determined by the Surf Sports Manager and nominated to the Points Races Officer prior to the commencement of the Club Championships.
Points will be awarded in each event to determine the overall Swanny Iron Series Champions in each of the above categories.
Entries are on the day.
This is open to all Club members, so make sure your training program is in full swing.
