Dr Leesa Equid – Swanbourne Nedlands SLSC, WA
Through exceptional leadership, innovation and service, Leesa Equid has become a driving force within Surf Life Saving. As a Life Member of Swanbourne-Nedlands SLSC, her contributions to education, clinical governance and member development have strengthened the capability and confidence of volunteers while advancing best practice across the movement.
Throughout 2025/26, Leesa played a pivotal role in implementing Lifesaving CPR, driving significant improvements in education, clinical governance and evidence-based practice nationwide. At club level, she delivered more than 100 hours of education, coordinated skills maintenance for hundreds of members and mentored the next generation of trainers and leaders. Her work in critical incident debriefing, member wellbeing and clinical governance has improved both patient care and volunteer support across Western Australia and beyond.
Respected for her expertise, generosity and collaborative approach, Leesa consistently empowers others to grow in confidence and capability. Her contribution continues to strengthen Surf Life Saving and create lasting benefits for members, patients and communities across Australia.
